Epididymis
The epididymis is approximately 6 meters long and a highly coiled duct that is described as having the following parts:
Head - formed by efferent tubules that transport sperm from the testes to the epididymis.
Body - formed by the heavily coiled duct of the epididymis.
Tail - continuous with the ductus deferens to allow for the transport of sperm to the prostatic portion of the urethra.
Sperm maturation (motility) and storage occur in the head and body of the epididymis.
