Seminal Vesicles
The seminal vesicles are paired and highly coiled tubules that produce approximate 70% of the fluid making up semen. The seminal fluid is a viscous material that contains fructose (the principal metabolic substrate for sperm) and other sugars, choline, proteins, amino acids, ascorbic acid, and protaglandins.
The duct from the seminal vesicles joins with the ductus deferens to form the ejaculatory duct which later drains into the prostatic urethra.
