The suprarenal glands are positioned superior to the upper pole of each kidney and they are retroperitoneal.

They function to secrete hormones directly into the bloodstream.

Blood Supply:

The suprarenal arteries supplies the suprarenal glands.

Venous Drainage:

The suprarenal veins drain the suprarenal glands.
